OVERVIEW
With 2020 on the horizon, Supra was pushing forward with new models and wild colorways. As always, I wanted to elevate the product and showcase the team riders modeling the seasons line. Most of the past lookbooks featured models in the streets. Street photography and skateboard centric creative. Supra was looking to polish up their brand and rise to the next level. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that.
STRATEGY
I wanted to bring the team and product indoors for a studio shoot. The idea was to capture the brand in a new light: high-fashion lighting techniques with a subtle grey background and blocks and pedestals for the props. It seemed like an obvious idea; little did we know is that the subject matter and the environment would collide in a perfect harmony of when the street meets designer fashion.
DESIGN
For the layout of the catalog and assets, I wanted to add a level of class to the previous catalogs. This would be a thick perfect bound book with high gloss photography. Since the inception, my original idea involved slight pops of color. The catalog and campaign offered a perfect opportunity to add various shapes and illustrations I created for such this purpose. I also pulled inspiration from the apparel collection utilizing some of the patterns and graphics from the line.
